This is spot on. Years ago I freelanced in mystery shopping, and you'd be offered jobs that they said took 10 mins. Which they mystery shop itself did. But in deciding the pay rate they never accounted for the fact that you had to apply and be accepted for the job; download the materials needed; print them off, familiarise yourself with what you needed to do and what information you needed to collect; drive to the mystery shop, park and walk to the business, do the job (the bit you get paid for), make copious notes as soon as the job is finished, take photos to prove you actually did the job, drive home, enter the information from the report onto the website, upload the photos, and then check every day to make sure it was accepted. A 10 minute job often took around 2 hours!
